Celebrate Finding Your Wedding Dress in the Reading Bridal District

Celebrate Finding Your Wedding Dress in the Reading Bridal District

Finding a wedding dress is a huge accomplishment. You made a big decision and checked off a major task from your bridal checklist – you deserve to celebrate! Even better, maybe your family and friends are along for the ride.

Better still – did you find your gorgeous gown at the Blue Bridal Outlet in the Reading Bridal District?! There are some fantastic ways to celebrate “finding the one” in the Reading Bridal District, the largest wedding hub in North America. Most of the action is on Benson Street in Reading, which is a suburb outside of Cincinnati. The Reading Bridal District boasts a whopping 44 wedding-related businesses within its two-mile radius.

Blue Bridal Outlet is one of those businesses. Our inventory of stunning off-the-rack gowns is always changing, and we stock a curated line of orderable gowns, too. (In addition to veils, jewelry and more!) But what do you do in Reading after your stylist has helped you select your perfect gown? We’ve got some ideas below on how to commemorate your experience in the Reading Bridal District. The party doesn’t have to end!

Grab a Drink in the Reading Bridal District

There are many amazing options for a celebratory beverage in Reading. We love several but one fav among Blue staff is Redwine & Co. The Redwines opened the bar in 2017 at 20 W. Benson, which formerly housed a saloon and later a pharmacy. Today, Redwine features several tasty drinks and a food truck serving its customers. Guests can order at their table via a QR code or at the bar.

The team at Blue heartily recommends trying a chicken wrap, and if you feel like imbibing, select one of Redwine’s alcoholic lemonades or a sangria. Redwine also hosts trivia night on Tuesdays and specials throughout the week.

Need more options to celebrate your dress decision with a drink? Foley’s Irish Pub and Benson’s Tavern (currently closed July 2024; expected to reopen) are other spots in the Reading Bridal District to grab a beer or a glass of wine.

It’s a surprising amount of work getting in and out of a wedding dress – brides need to refuel! Thankfully, the Reading Bridal District is home to awesome eateries like Strong’s Brick Oven Pizza, Lucy’s Diner and the Bridgehouse. Thai Lom Cuisine is a stupendous option to celebrate your day – and it’s right next door to Blue Bridal!

The cozy restaurant serves delicious menu items, including curry, pad thai, ramen and more. The restaurant at 145 W. Benson is a great location to regroup with your friends and fam after you’ve found your beautiful dress at Blue Bridal Outlet.

One of the best ways to celebrate any occasion is with cake! Luckily for the Reading Bridal District, Tres Belle Cakes was founded in 2003 and is located at 8921 Reading Rd. The adorable storefront concocts truly beautiful sweet creations, ideal for your wedding or just because. (Appointments are recommended to discuss weddings. Swing by to see availability in their bakery case.) In addition to cake, the bakery offers fun desserts like cheesecake bites, macarons and tarts.

Another idea for something sweet is trying Bitter Sweet Crepery at 1001 Jefferson Ave. They provide both sweet AND savory crepe options like cookies and cream or chicken bacon ranch. They’ve also got an incredible smoothie, coffee and tea selection!

Need yet another idea for a place to get java in the Reading Bridal District? Chasing Cali is Reading’s newest business. The collective at 420 W. Benson features several businesses including a coffee bar! We can’t wait to check it out.

Maybe you feel like shopping more after you’ve found your wedding dress! Why not find a dress for mom?! The Queen’s Lace at 320B Benson caters specifically to mothers and grandmothers. Founder Kim saw a need for this specialty store after working in the bridal industry. The boutique carries several sizes and styles, sure to please mom. Appointments for this shopping experience are encouraged! Similar to shopping for your bridal gown, each group will work closely with a stylist to find the best look for mom or grandma. Book here.

A visit to Gallery 118 is another excellent way to keep the momentum up after finding your gown at Blue Bridal Outlet. This lovely shop, 118 W. Benson, is home to several businesses including Posh Paper. It’s a great place to find gifts for your bridal party or to accessorize your life! Or check out Bess Paper Goods and Gifts, 321 W. Benson, for your invitation needs and unique paper florals! How Cute is That? behind Blue Bridal Outlet is another option if you’d care to purchase a gift to thank your crew. The store stocks clothes, accessories, gifts and more.

Reading is also home to several thrift and antique stores among other gems. Talk of the Town, specializing in vintage and costumes, is a super fun stop on their way out of the Reading Bridal District. Check them out at 9111 Reading Rd. Or if you want to shop for your home instead of clothes, try Lou + Teak at 9019 Reading Rd!

However you choose to celebrate finding your gown in the Reading Bridal District, just know that the team at Blue Bridal Outlet is here for you! If you need a restaurant recommendation or gift suggestion, don’t hesitate to ask your stylist. We feel so lucky to work in Cincinnati’s Reading Bridal District and to be able to help brides find their dream gowns every day!
